On Saturday night, Joel and I will be embarking on a few firsts:
- Our first LONG roadtrip together.
- Our first LONG roadtrip with the girls.
- Our first trip to California together.
- Our first REAL vacation away out of state for the purpose of recreation only.
- Our first vacation together longer than 2 days. (Well, vacation adventure together - he's been on vacation before, but we've never done anything this exciting!)
We are super excited and slightly panicked at the prospect of 14 hours in the Jeep with the girls. Although we'll be driving through the night so it should be alright. I'm looking forward to seeing my family, lunch at the Fresh Choice, visiting the Oakland Temple, tours of the city with Joel numbingly saying 'uh-huh' as I point out random memorable spots, sourdough bread, Woodside Delicatessen, hmm...and lots more family! :)

Fourteen shmourf-teen, you can do it no problem! Hey, what would it take for you to swing on over to our neck of the woods since you are (relatively) close?
