she's a good mama

Today was one of those days where you reflect back on it and think, 'Yeah!  I AM awesome!  I'm really good at being a mom!' 

Sarah had a dentist appointment and loved every minute of it.  It was fascinating to watch how excited she was to open up and get her teeth cleaned and get her flouride treatment.  She was even pretty thrilled at getting xrays which surprised me. 

Afterwards we went to mom's and played outside (they played, I huddled by the heater because these days I'm ALWAYS cold...if I didn't just pay $600 for every blood test in the world to tell me I'm healthy I would think I have something wrong with me!) and the girls had a picnic lunch on the grass.

We then headed home for naps.  During naptime I let the chickens run around and when they woke up Sarah and Allison played happily outside.  We decided an adventure was in order so we drove out to Port Gamble to explore the cute little shops and waterfront area.  The girls got some ice cream and we played at a park for an hour...oh boy, they were in heaven! 

After the park it was a quick stop to Albertson's where they got a free cookie treat and then an employee chased us down to give the girls free balloons!  It was awesome!  They were THRILLED!

So, I didn't actually do much to make this a fantastic day - we just happened upon so awesomeness - but the girls were beyond happy and I was glad to get out and enjoy a new adventure in the sunshine.  LOVE days like this.  LOVE LOVE LOVE them.
