So, here it is - January 21st and I've yet to post in the new year! Grrrumph! Well, I think it may be a sign of good things that I haven't posted. I have been working hard to become healthier in my noggin. I had a heart to heart with my doctor - you know, back in December, and have since dedicated my life to taking supplements and seeking out those natural remedies to my anxieties. Guess what? I'm doing better! My doctor said I needed to re-wire my brain. That I needed to re-train my brain not to react with panic at any little stressor. So I focused on that and worked on visualization and breathing techniques. I'm taking 1500mg of GABA each day along with 2000mg of vitamin D, plus some omega oils, and a multivitamin. I notice a HUGE difference with the GABA. My sleep is even improved with it and suffers without it. So I'm pretty happy about that.
This year I've committed to staying positive. I don't know how long I'll hang onto it but I'm consciously trying to be better about it. We've been sick for a few weeks now (think stomach flu, colds, pink eye, ear infections etc) and I'm ready to be done with it. The blessing is that it hasn't been as bad as I dread it to be. We've survived, we are happy, and that's what matters. :)
