oh dear

It's been entirely too long.  Can I do this?  Can I jump back in to documenting my life?  It's my only way of getting all those details down.  And oh how I LOVE to go back and read this goodness.  So here goes.  Too much to cover in one post but I'll start the ball rolling.  My sweet family will grow by one come January.  This pregnancy has been, by far, the most difficult.  I'm still suffering from morning (all day) sickness.  I have some energy back but I've ceased working out.  (BUMMER!)  Hopefully I can jump back on the bandwagon soon.

This wee one is almost 19 weeks along.  I'll call it a him just because...He's a mover and a shaker.  jumping around in my belly.  I started feeling him sporatically around 16 weeks.  Now I feel him every day making a raucous.

I truly thought we would be a family of four.  I know that the Lord had different plans and he shared those plans with Joel first...I got my confirmation after Joel mentioned it to me.  I had just overcome 6 weeks of being down (and I mean DOWN) with pneumonia and couldn't believe he was suggesting we try for a baby!  But we prayed (and prayed) and I knew that this little one was meant to be with us, too.

Next week is our big ultrasound where they do all the measurements and tests etc to confirm as much health and normality as they can.  I'm nervous and excited at the same time.  We will not be finding out the sex of this baby much as we've done it the last two pregnancies.  It's how we roll.  Overall, I'm excited to be almost halfway through this baking period.  I'm so excited to hold this wee one in my arms and love on her or him.  The girls are even more excited than I am sometimes.  Allison calls the baby her little Ducky.  She loves to give my belly loves and smooches.  It's pretty cute.  Sarah is excited but pretty grumpy that we will not be finding out the sex of the baby.  :)  I love that girl.
