new digs

So, I posted about something exciting in the works.  And, by golly, it IS exciting.  It's something I've been waiting more than five years...well, last week was the five year anniversary of wanting this thing.  And you know what it is?!  A KITCHEN REMODEL!!  Yup, that's right.  I haven't written the check yet so nothing it really official...but I've picked out the cabinets, the backsplash, had the kitchen planned and laid out, and the order is pending while we finalize our last choices (sink, granite color etc).  We are really lucky to have some friends who are in the remodel business and are getting some REALLY awesome deals on the kitchen.  Joel will be helping install to keep costs down but mostly because he is a perfectionist and will go crazy if he can't be knee-deep in the action.  I will start posting before/during/after pictures on here and Facebook like the proud-house-mama that I am.  SO EXCITED.
