Joel worked on setting the tiles and would mark them, then the missionaries would take them out and cut them. It went pretty smoothly. In about an hour or less Joel had all the basic cuts and whole tiles mortared down. The missionaries headed out and Joel marked the more difficult cuts and finished cutting all but three tiles. He would have gone all the way but it was 10pm by that time and as he said, "I could feel the hate." from all the neighbors over the loud tile saw.
So all tiles are attached to the floor with the exception of the three that are the most difficult (he needs to trim several angles to fit around the door jamb.) I think the mortar needs to rest and cure for 24 hours before he can grout. Then the grout cures for 24 hours, then we can put the toilet and vanity in! WAHOO!
Sarah woke up this morning and helped pick up all the tile spacers and put them in their box. She loved it, I got some video but it's just too long to post on here. Hopefully Joel will be able to get a few more things done tonight and we can move on to all the fun stuff!
