Joel got up this morning at 5:30 for his possibly new tradition of going to breakfast with his assistant manager before work. I love it when Joel gets up this early for two reasons. The first reason being that I don't feel the hankering need to go downstairs and make him breakfast (yes, I go down every morning and make him breakfast and pack his lunch - and yup, I do love it.) and also, he's out of the house early enough that Sarah doesn't wake and won't wake up until she's good and ready. Sometimes good and ready is 7am (blegh!) and sometimes is 9am (yay!). So, on Saturday mornings (most of them) I usually go down and get a quick bowl of cereal because my baby thinks it's eating time again, and then pop in the Golden Girls and fall fast asleep until hopefully 8 or so. I'm going to enjoy this because I know it won't last forever.
This morning I managed to get back to sleep by 6:45 and dreamed some pretty silly dreams. I must be missing warmth and sunshine because I dreamed it as warm sunny day in winter and Jaimee and I decided to have a garage sale. Jaimee and I really love having garage sales. Something about getting rid of a whole bunch of junk and actually getting money for it -what more could you want?! The garage sale started off a dud but soon was hussling and bussling - we were striking deals left and right. I remember feeling the sun beating down on my back and wearing sunglasses. Oh my...the sunglasses.
I woke up craving a chance to a mow a lawn or wash a car or even, by golly, perspire. I know, it's madness I tell you! So in honor of my warm weather wants I'm publishing a few photos I have from summer to inspire us all to get out there and enjoy the sunshine when it comes even if we have to wear 17 layers and a hat to do it.

Those pictures are torture Jenna! You are heartless and cruel! How could you be so mean to put those things up?? It gets our hopes and then the next thing we know, we have to go out and face the grey, cold yuckiness of the real world! You are a wicked, wicked monkey!
Ha! I had a dream I was going on a road trip and started out about 5 in the morning. I guess we're all starting to get a'hankerin' for spring activites. I was thinking today, as I walked across the sodden, half dead grass, "I really am going to put dirt in those dips this spring, I really am." (Zach, "wicked, wicked monkey" is that Mrs. Doubtfire?)
