The last few weeks Summer has kicked us into clean up gear around the house. When I say 'us' I mostly mean Joel because he's a MACHINE when it comes to something he sets his mind to. I've been dwindling the kids clothes down to the bare minimum that I can't bear to part with and doing other minor clean-up and organizing around the house. Joel has been doing a great job of paring down his garage goodies and *fingers crossed* vehicles! He finally made the move of putting a for sale sign in the beat up orange truck and we have a guy up the road who may just buy it. The clutter of vehicles doesn't bother me in the least when it's a project or an actual vehicle we use but this orange truck has just been hanging out. Joel and I both are thrilled to not have to look at it anymore. :)
We are working on getting the yard cleaned up enough to be able to do some more work on it. Who would have thought it so easy to accumulate, accumulate, accumulate!? It's crazy. But Joel got the yard pretty darn good lookin' yesterday. I've been pretty good about weeding my berries and garden - so we are starting to look pretty classy I think!!
Beyond that, I'm trying to get the inside of the house a little more decorated (on a very strict budget...like $0) and so far I'm pretty happy with my few goodies I've scored. I'll have to post a few pictures. It's small stuff but it's stuff that makes me smile when I pass by it - and that's worth it a hundred fold!!
