procrastination

There are about 25 things I SHOULD be doing right now.  This is the perfect opportunity to update my blog, don't you agree?  I have a few funny stories that I have wanted to share anyway so it works out perfectly.

Allison and Sarah really love Psych the TV show.  They haven't ever even really watched a fully episode but they might love it because Joel and I really love it and they notice.  Sarah and Alli have both been noticed randomly singing the theme song.  It surprised us at first but now it's just part of daily life.  Makes me smile.  Allison has also requested (several times) to watch it on Netflix instead of Curious George or SheRa (her other favorite as of late).

The other day Sarah and Emmet were talking about their butterfly names.  Sarah decided her name was going to be Twilight Sparkle.  I was so excited.  I wanted to ask her, 'Did you name yourself Twilight Sparkle after Edward and Bella?!?!" but then I realized she's five and doesn't know how to read...and doesn't know that her Mommy has read the saga 5 times in two years.  Yikes!

While doing some gardening the other day I was running with sharp objects and tripped over some random metal yard decoration at my mom's house.  I thought I just stubbed my toe but then I realized it hurt more than it should.  I looked down as I burst into tears and tried to catch my breath (the pain totally knocked the wind out of me) and saw blood pouring out of my toe.  It stopped pretty quickly but it's just another incident in my life that has held up my marathon training.  Maybe I'm not supposed to go the full 26 in June.  I can hardly walk without a limp for the foreseeable future.  The toe is black and blue and still swollen.  DOH!

And that's it for now...now I have to do real work on stuff that NEEDS to get done...not!  :)

Kalynn stubbed her toe really bad a little while ago when we were moving into our house and it cracked n half about halfway down the nail. It is all black and blue and the top half is separated from the toe, getting ready to fall off. It kills me to look at it because it looks like it hurts so much! I feel for ya!
