meal plan update

I know you guys are all dying to know just how I fared this week in following my meal plan.  To be honest - I think I did pretty good.  In addition I didn't make any extra trips to the store except for when I had a friend pick up a few two liters of Diet Coke but I had planned on that anyway.  :) 

So, I followed the plan to a T except I swapped Thursday's meal for Saturday's meal.  I made Johnny Marzetti Noodles on Saturday night and the veggie bake and chicken tenders on Thursday night.  It worked out just fine.

This week I'll change things up since my grocery trip last week ate up all of my food budget for two weeks.  Yikes!  It was painful to say the least.  That on top of some car parts we needed to buy AND Joel's driver's license renewal and we're running short. 

Things I will try to pick up this week (at Costco probably):
Salad greens
Bagels
Milk
Coleslaw mix
Apples/Bananas
Possibly Yogurt

Joel tells me never to worry about spending too much at the grocery store but I can't help it.  It's not that I waste a ton of food but I feel like we should be able to be spending less than we do!  I digress...on to our meal plan for this week.  Mostly pantry staples since I'm avoiding the grocery store.

M - Sausage Corndog Muffins with salad
T - Shepherd's Pie with salad
W - Breakfast for dinner with green smoothies
R - FM Stuffed Shells with salad
F - Asian Chicken Salad
S - Leftovers/Cereal/Sandwiches
S - Joel's parent's house for dinner!
M - FM Chicken Enchiladas
T - Sausage, French Fries, Green Smoothies
W - PAYDAY!  WAHOO!! 

So, we'll see how that goes...
