Procrastination Station

I've been meaning to wait to post until I finally get my photo's from this weekend downloaded into the computer but unfortunately when I finally have motivation I have no memory card accessible. I left the camera in the child's room and she is sound asleep. So I will merely say that this weekend was nearly a dream come true for a mother. Sarah slept terrific. I was nervous staying at Joel's dad's place that she would cry and cry all night, just like old times, but I was pleasantly surprised. We put her in bed, said our prayers, sang a little song, then I put her CD in and she was silent the whole evening. She did wake a few times in the night but it was more sad dream cry than torture I can't sleep cry. Saturday she was great at the wedding (Joel's old buddy, Marcus, was married) and even better at Troy and Reana's house (Joel's cousin). She layed right down and snoozed while we laughed, porked our faces, and played video games. It was a great weekend. Perhaps the Lord was blessing me knowing what was to come...

Remember when I said this was the best age? I might be wrong. Perhaps it's Joel and I getting closer and closer to saying, yes, let's go for the second one. Who knows. Maybe Sarah senses that she won't be an only child her whole life and needs to live it up right NOW! Regardless, she and I have had a rough two days. She seems more whiny and clingy than usual. I've even tried to do more fun things like park time, walks, and outside play. I am hoping she's just not feeling very well and that's what's causing her grumpies. But she did pork down a ton of lunch today - which she hasn't done in many moons.

In other news - Joel found an great looking cylinder head for our project truck. It was such a trek trying to find an inexpensive solution to the engine problem. With this new head, we should be in business with the major hardware purchases. Joel has been spreading his time very thin these days. He works on Mom and Dad's bathroom, he works on his trucks, he's keeping up with things around the house, and goes out to church meetings and missionary exchanges. He's an amazing man. Not to mention he still finds time to be the most handsome man in my entire world. I'm a lucky girl for sure.
