Chock Fulla Fun

Well, Monday of this week was full of adventures. We haven't packed that much excitement into one day since well, probably ever. Joel, Sarah and I went to the zoo in Seattle with Mom, the twins, and Emmet for half the day and then drove from Seattle to Yelm to celebrate a family reunion with Joel's dad. It was a day full of ups and downs and in-betweens but all in all it was a great day to get out and about. The weather was great, the company was fantastic and I got my pick of several cute little kiddos to hold and play with.

The zoo was great, the ride there was not so much fun. Sarah just hates sitting still for car rides. We're actually going to go in search for a possible replacement car seat because maybe she's just really uncomfortable. At the zoo we saw a ton of animals most of which Sarah called horses. But she finally got to see an owl in real life, that's her latest new animal word. She loved the snake most though I think. We stayed about two and a half hours touring and snapping photos.

Then we left for Yelm which turned into a big fiasco. It is not good when one of doesn't eat for a long time, but when all of us are hungry we might as well throw ourselves in corners and stay until food is served. I'll be honest and say that I might have been the poorest sport in the car. Joel will definitely second that, I'm sure. But we made it to Yelm.

I had the chance to meet some of Joel's family that I have not had the chance to yet. It was exciting to see all the smiling faces of kids and adults alike. Joel's sister even brought her horse for "pony" rides. It was fantastic! Sarah didn't ride but I did!! I loved it. We left for home and got back about 1130 or so. The ride home was definitely nice and calm, we both needed the downtime.
Here are some pictures of the various activities - I'm happy to relax some today.

I"ve found that when posting pictures on blogger that if you use the center position when it gives you the choice between "None, Left, Center, Right" If you use the "center" posittion the pictures won't enlarge when they're on the main blog. I haven'tr even tried the "none" position. For best results I use Left or Right positioning and use "small" or "medium" size. Then when people click on them in the blog they will enlarge to giant size! There's no need to reduce the size at all from the original photo when you upload them onto here.
