Joel's being a good husband and working on the Toyota tonight. It was seeming to be a huge burden lately - second guessing ourselves as to whether we should have invested in it. Well, I was second guessing our choice, I wasn't sure what Joel thought. Tonight though things seem to be looking a bit more positive. Progress is definitely slow going but we have a few prospective buyers once it is all said and done. Encouraging for sure. We decided that we'll use some of the proceeds to finally get our retaining wall done and paint the house. However, those plans may change dependent on completion date and the corresponding weather!
We're hoping to borrow my sister's pressure washer to clean the house up. I spent a billion years (okay maybe just an hour) pulling weeds in the yard so that felt relatively progressive. I need to prioritize what I want to get working on here with limited money. I've got the guest room filled to the brim with garage sale stuff so that won't be emptied until the 30th of August. I'd like to do yard stuff - mowing the lawn and weeding is about all I can get done! :) Tomorrow is lawn mowing and gathering some supplies for Joel. Then tomorrow night Joel will be working on Mom and Dad's bathroom.
He layed the concrete base for the shower pan last night. It was a big step forward. Next will be finishing the shower pan, putting up concrete wall board, then taping and mudding the drywall. Woohoo! He's more than a handyman, he's like THE MAN. He's good to us.
Today she spent most of the car rides we took singing to herself. It's funny that she sings and actually throws real words into the song.
"jibberishlalalalapuppy lalajibberishlalamoon lalalalahorse..." it's pretty darn cute, I'm gonna have to start bringing my camera on trips to see if I can catch it in action.
