A Confession

I have a confession. Some might say it's a silly one, but I'd still like to share. It may not compare to my confession of loving Golden Girls more than what is probably normal, but it's still something I'd like to ad'dress'.

I really want to have a collection of Sunday dresses.

I know. Big deal. Go to Ross and pick a few up you say. The problem is I don't know how to pick out regular clothes, let alone a modest dress. When I think of dresses my memory jumps back to circa 1994 when my mom would wear her "uniforms". Her rotation of summer dresses. I loved them. Even today I'd like to take them over as my own. Yikes - 15 year old dresses my MOM used to wear?! But they always looked so comfortable.

I have a friend in church who wears dresses that aren't always up on the latest fashions and I absolutely love it about her. She pulls it off. Everything looks great on her. I want to establish my Sunday rotation. A rotation of dresses. It may seem trivial but really I think about it every Sunday. "I wish I could just have a nice longer dress to wear."

I know that most ladies I know have had years to accumulate these collections, so I'm not going to be jealous. But what I need is a jumpstart. My eyeballs are open and ready to find the secret source.

I hope I'm one of those that can "pull it off" because some of my dresses I had when your husband was born. I'm not kidding. It is sooo hard to find a dress these days! I keep my eyes always open, because it's a rarity to find that delicious combination of form, fashion and finances. If you find something, and you can even possibly afford it, BUY IT. Mama
