The Sweet Sound of Victory

Today marked a day of success for Joel. We got to hear the engine purr on the Toyota. It's a beautiful thing. There were times when I thought we'd throw in the towel and just sell the thing for parts, but we've made it. More specifically - Joel made it. He's by far the most amazing man I know. He accomplishes whatever he sets his mind to. I'm always in awe of the things he gets done.
Joel finished our bathtub for us last week! We decided on inspiration from his dad that we would resurface our downstairs bathtub. We haven't bought new fixtures yet, so we still can't use it, but it brightens the bathroom up so much. Sarah goes in there all the time and says, "Sarah's pretty bath!"

I trimmed back my wildly growing raspberry and strawberry plants today. I am amazed at how much reproduction 3 raspberry and 8 strawberry plants have done when I was scared they'd even survive!!

Sarah and I took a trip to go get my dress back from the alteration lady for Troy and Reana's wedding on Saturday. We're excited for it, Sarah will be the flower girl and Joel and I are both in the wedding party also. It's going to be super fun.

Sarah was having a blast helping dad...if this next ones another girl, Joel has nothing to worry about! Sarah will be enough of a car-dad-fanatic for him I'm sure!

Wow - Joel is one busy guy! I think it's weird I've never met him - but that is my own fault since I missed your wedding celebration. I had just totaled my car and was really sore from the wreck. It was incredibly self absorbed of me. I've always regretted missing it.

That bathtub looks good! How exciting getting lots of loose ends tied up!

Oh, my oh my. Joel is awfully good at what he does. What a blessing it is to have someone so handy about! Your tub looks AWESOME! If you're looking for extra money I bet a whole lotta people would be willing to get a 'new' tub without the cost of ripping it out and taking down walls to get another one in. That's amazing. I love the picture of Sarah learning about tools, I wonder if that whole mechanical genius thing is in her genes. Amazing. You're all amazing, and I love you!! mama
