I hate to pre-occupy my writings with stories of my child. I somehow feel like this is my outlet where I can maybe have my own personal identity outside of Sarah, but she is deserving of a few posts this week apparently. Right now she is crying uncontrollably in her room. This is WAY past her bedtime of 6pm. She is not crying because she wants to be awake, she is crying because she wants me. When I go in there and put her in my lap she is asleep within a few minutes. I am going to attribute this to getting over her bug and being overstimulated today at Church, but it's still bringing me back to the first month of her life. She was a screamer.
Joel is being very good downstairs. I went in to comfort Sarah 20 minutes ago and when I felt convinced that she is truly okay - no poopy diaper, no barfing, no fever, no broken limbs - I have locked myself in my room. I have the bathroom fan on and the TV on very loud. I am trying to ignore the occasional yelp I hear from her room. In fact Joel just called a few minutes ago on my cell phone. This is how the conversation went:
Joel - I was just calling to invite you back downstairs because she stopped crying
Me - Oh yeah?
Joel - Yeah, but she just started again so nevermind.
Me - Thanks for being so strong for me.
Joel - Anytime.
Thats my husband - The rock. I'm grateful for him. I couldn't do this without him.

I love the phone conversations from in the house. Justin calls me from bed occassionally and asks me random stuff, "will you turn the t.v. down" will you come turn off the light. etc... Your conversation made me laugh outloud. that is FUNNNNYYY!!1
Yes, that guy rocks. And you can tell him that (even though he already knows)
Ha! I am laughing out loud all by myself reading that. I can picture Joel dead panning that phone call. I love reading Jennis and Zach's comments too. You cannot imagine how terrific and amazing it is, and proud I feel to be the mother of such awesome, wonderful, delightful, people. I love you all. mamaseversike
