The first thing Sarah says when she wakes up is, "Christmas House!" because she loves the Christmas tree so much. The second thing she says is, "Fooshies awake too." Does life get better than this? Not by much I tell you.
The other night we decorated our Christmas tree which Joel picked out on his way home from work the other night. I was *this close* to nixing the tree idea this year but it has really perked up our spirits. Sarah was absolutely enthralled with putting the ornaments on and would squeal with delight when she managed to hook one on. Most of them Joel and I would follow close behind and actually hook them on the branch and not on the needles. But she had no idea and was happy to line up for her next ornament.
Joel has been super busy with work. We had been praying, and I had asked many others to pray, for snow soon. The other day my mom said, "Gosh Jenna, haven't you stopped praying about snow yet? You think we've had enough?!" Apparently, a customer mentioned the same thing to Joel yesterday. As much as it has probably been a bother for some, including me at times, it's really meant huge things for business at Joel's work. He's managed to come home at decent hours to play with Sarah before she goes to bed. He loves the go-go-go of busy days and it's nice to see his smiling face when he comes home. Our Jeep is our miracle baby. It's been through quite a bit in the short time we've had it (I think almost 2 years now) but it's been nothing but reliable for Joel this week. If anyone has driven up our driveway - imagine it covered in snow and ice - yeah, it makes it up the hill with ease! We are very blessed.
As I write it is snowing pretty good, little flakes, but lots of them. We're buckling down for the worst (10-18 inches) but who knows what to expect. Mom and I made a big Costco run so we're pretty stocked for food for the weekend.
The boys at Joel's work say the best day for a snowstorm is Sunday since it means they don't have to go in. We're excited for tomorrow, Joel's happy for a day off.
I am so thankful for the amazing blessings that we continue to receive each day, and for the family and friends we share our lives with.

I'm so glad you didn't nix the tree, it's worth it. It's so much fun to watch Sarah grow, and my goodness isn't she!? All these babies are turning into 'kids'. I'm glad for Joel's busy-ness, though tell him to be careful with that running to the cars things!! I hope things thaw a bit so you can join us for Christmas!! Our love, mom and dad
