Snow, Cabin Fever, and Cleaning

It's Monday. I think I have a case of the Monday's. It's not that I am truly being unproductive - to the contrary I've gotten lots done today already but I am ACHING to get out and see other people and environments besides my house. Poor Sarah is climbing up the walls, albeit in the sweetest way possible. Joel brought it up to my attention this morning, "You've only been stuck here for less than two days." He's right. But the idea of not being able to leave the house for who knows how long is the most discouraging. I'm not a snow driver, and I'm certainly not an ice driver. I'm a optimum-driving-environment kind of driver. Sarah even said yesterday when we were discussing whether to try and make it church: "No church - too snowy." She does not like the snow so far.

Joel is currently finishing the roof over our wood rack - it's about 3o or so feet long by about 3 feet wide and he is putting up shingles and sidewalls in 20 degree weather. Where that man gets his drive I don't know...Nonetheless it's getting his energies out which is nice because he gets cabin fever like no other. It's hard enough to make him relax on Sundays.

I spent the morning folding laundry, it's been approximately two weeks since I've folded. We've grown tired of a pile explosion every morning as we search for our britches. After folding I decided that if I got the closet cleaned out that I could start moving baby furniture in there and get it out of the hallway. I liked that idea. So I moved our dresser and packed up a few boxes of my non-maternity clothes and now have a clean space to put the changing table and bassinet. It's going to be pretty cool I think. Although I moved the dresser by myself okay I'm waiting on Joel to get hungry so I can get his help moving the changing table upstairs. I lifted it just to see if it would be remotely possible but the idea of straining any muscle in my body is just not a good one.

Sorry there's not much excitement to report. No pictures as I left my camera at Mom's house but eventually I'll get out of here and get the camera back! Oh, small excitement - the little one got it's first bout of feel-able hiccups this morning. It was amazing to feel and brought back memories of Sarah getting the hiccups in the womb. I think she thought it was Olympic Event because it seemed she ALWAYS had them and might have been practicing.
