I'm a loser, baby...

My family will be the first to tell you that I am a loser. The most frequent victims of me being a loser are my keys, my phone, and my wallet. I haven't lost my wallet in years (get ready for some really firm knocking on wood, please.) But my keys and my phone seem to slip from my grasp without my knowledge. Ooh! I forgot, I also lose credit cards.

Because some people may gasp in horror at my losing credit cards please be aware - they are 98% of the time lost in the house somewhere. I leave them in a pants pocket after I get fuel at a station, I put them on a table where Sarah can reach and she chews on them, I put them "where I know I'll remember..." But I digress...

Currently, my phone is at my sister's house because I left it at my mom's for maybe the 3rd time this month. Jaimee was going to bring it over to my house on her way home but she forgot to do that. So now I'll have to wait and get it later today. It's the story of my life, I'm not ashamed nor do I get mad at myself anymore. I am a loser (of things).

Now...on to the real meat of this post: My Keys. I have had to call Joel more than several times to let him know I don't have my keys, or to ask if he's seen them. (Sometimes I can't even call out because I've lost my phone so then I have to send SOS emails to mom, dad, and anyone else I think might be able to help!) Joel decided he'd had enough!

On Sunday, Joel announced to me that he would be building me a key holder to help me to put my keys where I will remember them. I smiled and said graciously, 'Why, thank you!' Then he told me what it would be made out of - Car Parts! I loved the idea. It's creative, it's free, it's fun, and it's unique! So, after working all day on the Toyota (nearly there, I tell you!) he spent the evening fashioning a key holder for me. Check it out!! I think it matches our woodstove really nicely - for those of you who have been in the house, it's located on the wall to the right of the front door. I've also included in the picture a new picture collage frame I put up recently.

It's our unofficial ode to the Toyota - in dedication to the many hours Joel has spend working on it. It kind of reminds me of the movie "Robots." It's my new favorite decoration!

I want one! LOL

He could mass produce them and sell them!!

Now we only need to invent one that will keep me from losing my mind...
