This weekend was the best in a long time. It was so amazingly awesome that it will go up in sections. The first section will be about Saturday - The Garage Sale.
Friday night we stayed the night at Mom and Dad's. It is always fun to have a sleepover but I spent the evening hanging clothes and trying to organize the garage. Joel spent the night continuing work on the bathroom. At about 9:30 we called it quits. Joel and I both had to get up before 6 for work and the sale.
The sale was awesome. We had more customers before 1pm than we did for all the other sales combined! I got a chance to talk to people I don't know, which I always love. I was born for customer service I think! All in all, I think we made about 150 altogether. I brought in $65, would have been seventy but I bought a dresser from Jaimee. It will fit nicely in our closet after I refinish it. The kids made cookies and juice and sold soda's at the sale - they brought in about $13 from that. They were stoked!
After the sale we had a big family dinner, which we haven't done in a while with summer being here. Jaimee and Tim have been doing so many trips out of town it was nice to have some sister time at the sale.
As I was pulling up the driveway at our house the missionaries were pulling up also. So we visited with them for a while. In fact, we visited for 3 hours! I needed to get laundry done and clean the house but it was so much fun to hang out. We love having them over, and who doesn't love a great excuse for an ice cream party! :D
And I HAD a really cute picture of Sarah sitting on the couch with them but unfortunately that and all the other amazing photos from the weekend were deleted before I could upload them. It was my fault, and I didn't cry over it but I wanted to whack myself in the noggin because of it.
And this concludes part 1 of the weekend.
